Jake DeMoor's Project One Idea

I’ve had a difficult time deciding what to use for my topic. The topics that most intrigue me are privacy and science, perhaps merging the two with some type of crypto-angle. I’ve thought about taking terrorism in the extreme end of using science to eliminate privacy with the goal of thwarting terrorism, and on the other hand using science to become more anonymous and gain privacy. There seems to be a fine line between too little and too much privacy, and I hope my project can help to make people realize this and strive to reach that line. There is also the matter of subjectivity on that line; not everyone is as willing to give up their privacy as everybody else, and on the other hand, some may feel the threats that a lack of privacy negates are more of an issue than others.
There certainly isn’t a “correct” amount that we as a society have become comfortable with, yet, however, this may be achieved through the passing of time. I intend to use pictures from both extremes to impose on the viewer that there must be a balance, and that this balance must be found. I will be focusing on the what goes too far on both ends of the spectrum, using pictures and info from both.
